How Jörg Geiger Set a New Standard for Non-alcoholic Beverages
Jörg Geiger’s passion for old fruit varieties began at a young age. When he wasn’t at his family’s traditional Swabian restaurant, Geiger would wander through their sprawling meadow fruit orchards. These orchards were filled with heirloom apple and pear varieties native to his home of Schlat, Germany. The trees grow large, with deep root stock bringing up nutrients and minerals from the rich soil. The Geiger family had been making alcoholic beverages for generations with this fruit, and Jörg Geiger’s love of these heritage varieties began to generate his own ideas for innovative new beverages.
In 2003, using his training as a chef, Geiger heightened his focus on creating authentic tastes from pure ingredients, and a few years later, Manufaktur Jörg Geiger began producing an impressive line of fine non-alcoholic Priseccos® crafted from his family’s orchard fruit, foraged herbs and flowers, spices, and leaf pressings.

A true visionary, Jörg Geiger has honed his craft, creating some of the world’s finest non-alcoholic wines, ciders, and sparkling Priseccos®. Delmosa & Jörg Geiger: The Beginnings of a Fruitful Partnership
After reading about Manufaktur Jörg Geiger in 2014, Delmosa founder Bruce Blosil planned a research trip to Schlat. There, he met with Jörg Geiger, sampled the beverages, and toured the orchards. Bruce was amazed by the finesse of the beverages, the gorgeous colors, the aromas and bold flavors.
They were unlike any other non-alcoholic beverages he had had before. Jörg Geiger was impressed by Delmosa’s vision and focus on terroir-driven non-alcoholic beverages and the two men decided to work together to introduce Manufaktur Jörg Geiger to the United States.
